What To Expect From The Sessions.

Treatment paradigm.

  • Physical Trauma.

The sessions are very personalized and allow ample time for you to share your medical history. For the physical body this will be with emphasis on your history of motor vehicle accidents, head trauma/concussions, falls, broken bones, surgeries, systemic infections etc going all the way back into childhood and even your own birth.

Let me know what your goal is. To decrease the pain to be tolerable to do a certain activity or is it to be pain free? Or would you like to work on long standing issues stemming from childhood trauma or even your own birth?

  • Emotional Trauma.

In this day and age, western medicine set aside, I think we can all agree that there is an important connection between emotional trauma and how it shows up as a physical sensation. Ragnhild offers coaching on ‘connecting the dots’ between belief systems, emotional trauma triggers and how it manifests in the physical body. She also has many different techniques to help process emotional trauma and when applicable getting the body out of the fight-flight-freeze-fawn response. This includes multiple techniques to release and reset the vagus nerve, adrenals and facilitating the body to get back into the parasympathetic ‘rest and digest’ mode.

You will leave the session in a much calmer state that which you arrived. Whether it is as a byproduct of physical releases, as a direct result on working on ‘calming’ the nervous system or processing emotional trauma.

  • Putting it together.

Depending on what your specific situation and circumstances are, what your goal is, how much time and money you are willing to put into your health and wellbeing, we will put together a treatment plan. This may be a single session with a follow up or weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks to gain momentum and consistency. Then you may discharge or continue on a maintenance program every other week, once a month or as needed.

It is impossible for me to tell you what is needed until I actually see you and get the full picture of your specific situation.

Releasing a bone bruise from a fall that happened two weeks ago is usually pretty simple and straight forward compared to repairing injury from multiple concussions that occurred 20 years ago.

As a basic rule the longer your body has been out of alignment, and the more extensive the trauma, the longer it will take to get it back to a healthy homeostasis. Now keep in mind that it doesn’t all have to get fixed, we just need to bring the physical body down to below the threshold of ‘screaming’ at you.

When it comes to the central nervous system, is it to get you out of the fight-flight-freeze-fawn response or is it also to build nervous system resilience so that when you get triggered again you won’t go into full alert mode as easily and frequently as before?

No client is the same, so the treatments are tailored to each and every one.

Wear comfortable, flexible clothing. For women it is recommended to not wear a bra. cotton t-shirt and yoga leggings are preferred. For men a cotton t-shirt and board shorts or sweatpants work great. Avoid thick, inflexible fabrics with thick seams, such as denim.
